Breaking into the science-fiction genre in the literary/publishing world is not an easy walk in the park, but it is surprisingly simple once you have finished a manuscript and/or a series of short stories in a sci-fi magazine. Brandon discusses some basic starting points for those who are interested in completing a sci-fi short story or novel as well as what a person needs to do in order to understand the literary marketplace—in other words, once you’re done with your story, who do you sell it to?
Brandon also discusses some good sci-fi writing classes online as well as the new Morningside Writers Science-Fiction Workshop based out of Harlem in NYC.
