Welcome to the 2nd episode of Writing for Rookies. Here I discuss how to find a quality penciler/inker/art team to work on your comic book. The first step is to go to online comic book classified sites like Digitalwebbing.com, comicspace.com, Deviant Art, or even Craigslist and post the kind of artist you want for your book.

Be specific to the style you want and be clear about your expectations in terms of deadlines and what you can afford to pay them. I also talk about the ways in which you can screen out lousy, egotistical artists who only want to overcharge new writers for mediocre work.

I talk about contracts and other information you will need in your search for an artist.
